About Us

Portion of earlier Kathihar Division of Bihar was incorporated into West Bengal in 1956 and comprising Ramganj, Islampur Subdivision was newly created in 1959To fulfill the need of a training institute in Islampur Subdivision Ramganj Govt

PTTI was started the journey from the year 1959. Nomenclature of Ramganj GovtPTTI was earstwhile as Ramganj PT School. This institute is situated at RamganjUttar Dinajpur District of West Bengal distanced 12 kms from Islampur Town and Aluabari Road Station. Thousands of teachers have successfully been trained with full of ideals and ambitions to nurture young learners of our nation

Our Vision

In order to create an inclusive and a balanced society envisaged by the constitution of our nation, hence, to ensure the participation of every individual irrespective of their identities, in the process, the necessity of delivering proper forms and ways of education is of paramount importance. This would be possibleby accumulating a set of skills and different practices for construction of behaviours in pupils recommended and suggested by NCERT, WBBPE and NEP- 2020 from Ramganj PT School for teachers. We, the teacher educators of Ramganj Govt. PTTI, envision to be engaged with trainee teachers to help them to acquire and achieve the necessary skills through meaningful practices following specific curriculum

Our Mission

Our mission is basically to enhance, ennoble and explore the capacity of enrolled trainee teachers in the perspective of understanding learners, imparting various lessons, and construction of knowledge and behaviours acknowledging myriad possibilities and diversity to materialise the vision of Ramganj Govt. PTTIOur aim is to reproduce innovative, reflective and quality teachers through pedagogical interventions and approaches like constructivist and play based activities. Besides the teachers would be able to focus on the inclusive education in real classroom situations accepting the diverse cultural background and multilingual set up as well as to accommodate the children with special needs. We hope this would help in private as well as public life of the teachers in general and we wish them good luck for their future endeavours
